Noted professional violinist and Mayfair resident John Ling will bring his string quartet to the Irving Park Fine Arts Committee’s final concert of the 2017/2018 season. The concert will be held Sunday, March 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Irving Park Lutheran Church, 4100 N. Harding Ave.

Members of the quartet are John Ling, first violin, John Eckhardt, second violin, Daniel Golden, viola and Mark Anderson, cello. The concert will feature Mozart’s String Quartet No. 19 in C Major, K. 465. Nicknamed the “Dissonance Quartet” it is perhaps Mozart’s most famous and is the last of six quartets he dedicated to Joseph Haydn.

A reception with the artists follows the concert, hosted by the Fine Arts Committee. The concerts are relaxed and casual, lasting about an hour. Perfect for families!

The 2017/2018 Fine Arts season is dedicated to the memory of Nancy and Gordon Johnson, the Irving Park Lutheran Church members who with Artistic Director Roger Bingaman founded the series in 1994.
